Malad Gorge State Park is next to our campground. We didn't visit the last time we stayed here but were told by others we missed a gem. The loop road closes at 4PM so we just took a few photos of the gorge from lookouts:
Then we went to the overlook, which is always open. Here are some of the many informational signs:

Malad Gorge State Park is definitely a good stop. But come early in the day to take the loop road since it closes at 4PM.
