We went into Key West on Halloween Day, October 31st.
These are fish hanging around the Schooner Wharf Bar where they feed them:
We think the big one is a tarpon:

A brown pelican at Mallory Square:
The Royal Caribbean cruise ship Sovereign of the Seas was in port:
We had lunch at the Cuban place by Mallory Square, El Meson de Pepe. The food is good but overpriced due to the location.
Nice tree along Duval Street:
Some of the famous Key West chickens:
An interesting mail box:
We went back to see more of the fish:
A group was hanging over a spot so we came to see what they were seeing and found a manatee:
See the water dripping off the boat, it is fresh water and the manatee has noticed:
The manatee starts to drink the water:

Our friends who are staying local say many of the boaters will let the manatees drink from the end of a hose if they see them. It was great to see a manatee and we were glad it was in such clear water.
A photo of the sponge man at Mac's, one of two in town. We saw these in 2003 also.
