September 2008 - Fused Glass Project

Diane's mother, Rosalie, is making a fused glass window for her daughter, Kimberly, for the bathroom.  It is in three 1ft by 3ft panels since that is what will fit in the large kiln.  Gregg will build a frame for the finished project to make it 3ft by 3ft.  Essentially this project was going on much of the four weeks we were in the area.

The completed glass panels:

Panel 1 after the kiln.  It needs a bit of finish work and another trip through the kiln to be complete.  Notice the "clear" glass used is not clear after firing.

Lots of work but the result is impressive.
