February 15 to 21, 2010 - Silver Springs, FL Week 3

We had a busy week in Silver Springs.

Evita watched the birds like this Yellow-throated vireo

We even have squirrels:

Tuesday we went to The Villages for shopping and had another lunch at Siam Orchid.

The next day, Wednesday, we met Dave and Elinore at Urban Flats in The Villages for lunch.   We had not seen them since December.

We ended up spending the day with them.

Here is another interesting golf car, there is such a variety in The Villages.

We loved this apron.

We hung out at Barnes and Noble for a while and then had dinner at Cody's Roadhouse, which was quite good.  Wednesday is a good day for couples at Cody's, if you both have fajitas the second one is free.

Saturday we met the group at Chili's for dinner.  There were ten of us.

Sunday we drove about two hours to see our friends Phil and Joy.  On the way we had lunch at TGI Fridays.

We had not seen Phil and Joy since Celina, OH at the end of September.  Originally the four of us were going to meet somewhere in between our campgrounds but Joy ended up having a triple bypass and valve replacement so we headed their way.

Here we are at their motorhome in Davenport where we met up with Phil.

The three of us then went to visit Joy at the rehab facility.  She was in good spirits and doing quite well for it only being a week and a half after her surgery.  We had a great visit and expect to see them again in Washington State in the summer.  We dropped Phil off after having dinner together and headed back, arriving home about 9:45PM.

We also had lunch at Zaxby's one day.

The weather finally warmed for a few days and we really enjoyed it.  Unfortunately it is not supposed to stay warm.

One week left here in Silver Springs.
