Great Basin National Park is in the mountains with Wheeler Peak the high point. From the visitors center parking lot you can see the Great Basin desert:
We signed up for a Lehman Caves tour and while we waited we looked around the displays and cabins in the visitors center:

Lehman Caves (really one cave) is a very nice and wet cave. Enjoy the photos:
