August 6 to 20, 2008 - Chimacum, Fall City and Tumwater, WA

August 6th we drove 29 miles to Evergreen Coho Escapees Co-Op in Chimacum, WA.  It was a beautiful and sunny day.  Here we are camped, much like our last stay here in July 2005.

Bill met Mike for coffee one morning and we had a very nice dinner at Mike and Leslie's one evening while visiting.  Another day we visiting with Boomers Brent and Diane at their lot at the Co-op.

One day we headed out and ended up at the Dungeness Spit:

It was windy and cool so we did not follow but we did find this Indian Paintbrush blooming:

We ended up at India Oven in Port Angeles for lunch that day.  Our other meal out while visiting Chimacum was a nice lunch at Public House and Grill in Port Townsend.

August 10th we drove 108 miles to Outback RV Park in Rochester, WA.  Another place we stay at often, our last visit was in May.  We are visiting for one week.

We stayed busy during our week stay.  We visited with Carl, Laureen and Fuchsia one evening.

We did get out to eat at Budd Bay Cafe and Burgerville again.

Five of us went to the Little Creek Casino for dinner one night.  Here is Ted, Linda, Diane and Elena coming to the car with Bill driving:

August 17th we drove up to Tall Chief RV Resort in Fall City, WA for some visits and doctor appointments.  The drive was 98 miles, we got our favorite campsite and we last stayed here in May.

Dan and Jenny were just down the street:

We ended up at Chan's Place with Dan and Jenny our first night in town.

Monday we ended up running medical errands and met up with old coworkers at Thai Chef in Bellevue, always a good place to eat.

Tuesday was doctors in the morning, lunch at Nasai Teriyaki, more errands and then we headed to Jim and Peggy's for dinner.

The late evening and night of August 19th it rained hard, making a slow drive home from Seattle.  In the morning, we just had showers and were able to break camp and get on the road without much trouble.  We said our goodbyes to Jenny and Dan and drove south to spend one night parked by Bill's mother's place in Tumwater, WA.  Just before arriving, the rain hit again and it rained hard.  After 87 miles, here we were in the rain.  The last time we had parked by her house was in April 2005.

We all went to dinner at Anthony's Homeport in Olympia and it was wonderful.  The rain had stopped and the sun was peeking out.
