November 23 to 27, 2010 - Las Vegas, NV

We left Kingman on November 23rd and headed to Las Vegas.  We were going to take the new bridge over Hoover Dam.  Here is the approach to the bridge.

People with bridge phobias will have little problem with the bridge since from the vehicle you can't see down and the actual bridge is short.

After 113 miles we were camped at Thousand Trails Las Vegas. Our last stay here was in October 2008.

It was unseasonably cold here for much of our stay.  Mostly we were Christmas shopping.  We decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner at the Red Rock Casino buffet and it was quite good.

On the 26th we went to Ethel M Chocolate to see the lights and the chocolate just like we did in December 2006.

We did not get the best photos since we did not use a tripod this time.

But we did get some decent videos.

Video 2 of Ethel M lights (1.09MB WMV)

The only other meal we had out was at the Silverton Casino buffet and it was not as good as we remembered.

Now we are off to Death Valley.
