June 21 to 24, 2012 - Monroe, WA

We left Woodland and drove 179  miles back to Thunderbird in Monroe and learned the hard way that we really did need to pull a fuse while towing since the car battery was dead when we arrived.  After getting a jumpstart from a ranger we got into our campsite.  Our last stay here finished in early June, so we had not been away long.

The car getting the battery charged.

Dan and Betsy had an anniversary party, which also celebrated their moving to Taiwan in a couple weeks and both daughters visiting at the same time for the first time in many years.

We actually knew some of these people having been friends for over 20 years.

Lots of eating and talking.

The cake.

We did more than go to the party while in town but did not take many photos.  Here is a nice photo of Lake Tye in Monroe.

We met up with Liz at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park.  We had not seen her since April 2008 in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Places we ate out were Kafe Neo, Meaphim Lakewood Thai, Burger Madness, and Honey Bear Bakery this visit.
